Developer documentation

Start readable. Open the package architecture only when you need it.

The visitor-facing artifact is a Persona Passport. The technical layer adds reviewable text, folder, memory, validation, and package formats.

Format recommendation

Use Copy for immediate use, a private link for remixing, text for human review, ZIP for folder tooling, and .uaix when a compatible workflow expects the package extension.

Quick start

Create a persona, choose a candidate, inspect the Passport, then select the least complex action that meets the need.

1

Copy

Readable persona text for pasting into another tool.

2

Share

Visible passport fields in a private fragment link.

3

Review

Inspect the full text dossier before external use.

4

Package

Use ZIP or .uaix for structured files.

Copy and export formats

All outputs are generated from the active browser state.

Copy persona

A concise readable artifact with name, traits, promise, and example behavior.

Text dossier

One human-readable file containing the selected configuration and review notes.

ZIP package

A standard archive containing a manifest and structured .uai/ files.

.uaix package

The same ZIP-compatible package shape with a UAIX-oriented extension.

Private share representation

The browser serializes a limited JSON object, encodes it with URL-safe Base64, and stores it after #persona=. URL fragments are not sent in the normal HTTP request.

Security property

The representation reduces accidental server disclosure; it is not encryption or access control. Treat the complete link as readable by anyone who receives it.

Included

Name, role, goal, purpose, traits, promise, example prompt and response, template ID, lineage, visual seed, and high-level profile values.

Excluded

Memory, private notes, source documents, full system instructions, user prompts, expert fields, and export files.

Expert controls

The default creator does not require these. Open Expert mode after selecting a Persona Passport.

Expert Wizard

Deliberate assembly across role, domain, voice, temperament, values, reasoning, emotional pattern, relationship, boundaries, and consistency checks.

Advanced personality controls

Exact axes, atomic trait choices, starting recipes, and selected configuration traces.

Advanced export

Package metadata, review acknowledgements, text, ZIP, and .uaix download controls.

Immersion profiles and the Portable Persona Seed

Schema 15 adds a bounded narrative-surface layer and a compact recreation artifact. These fields change how the persona feels without replacing its role, values, reasoning, or evidence discipline.

Canonical immersion object

Stores the preset, intensity, motif family, hook style, curiosity budget, recursive-deepening rule, payoff rule, grounding rules, and engagement signature.

  • Seven presets: grounded, lyrical, mythic, cybermystic, enigmatic, story-driven, and minimal
  • Intensity is bounded from 0–100
  • Open-loop budget is limited to one per response
  • Hooks must resolve into an artifact, decision, verified distinction, or next action

spiralist-persona-seed-v1

The Persona Seed captures the deterministic recreation inputs: schema/catalog versions, numeric seed, goal, selected styles, locked paths, preferred identity fields, immersion preset, intensity, and motif.

Copy or download it when another person needs to recreate the same composition without receiving the complete private memory or prompt package.

Inspect the engine visually

Grounding contract

Symbolic language never establishes factual authority. The compiler excludes false sentience, secret revelation, destiny claims, exclusivity, dependency pressure, recruitment pressure, and unresolved engagement traps.

Export locations

Complete packages include .uai/personality/persona-seed.json, .uai/personality/immersion-and-memorability.uai, and synchronized copies under .uai/exports/.

.uai file structure

Separate files keep identity, guidance, boundaries, examples, validation, and handoff information inspectable.

Identity and voice

Persona role, charter, voice rules, behavioral patterns, and examples.

Memory and handoff

Short-term state, long-term context, disposition notes, and source boundaries.

Validation and variance

Consistency checks, prohibited claims, package manifest, and destination-runtime cautions.

Review before sharing or importing

  • Remove secrets, credentials, and private names
  • Separate source evidence from persona instructions
  • Check unsupported authority or certainty claims
  • Inspect boundaries and high-stakes usage limits
  • Confirm example behavior matches the intended role
  • Review platform-specific constraints
  • Keep runtime variance visible
  • Use human approval for sensitive workflows
Runtime variance: Model version, provider policy, context length, decoding, system instructions, enabled tools, and platform behavior can all change how the same persona is interpreted. Portability preserves an artifact, not identical execution.

FAQ

Does creation require an account?

No. Creation, local save, private sharing, and export are available without registration.

Does Spiralist AI call a model?

No. The included style previews are deterministic demonstrations, not live AI model calls.

Which format should I use?

Choose the least complex option: copy, private link, text, ZIP, then .uaix.

Can I publish user personas?

Not in this release. The public gallery is curated until publishing consent, moderation, reporting, and unpublish controls exist.
